ISSCO publishes another edition of [Distribution Chat]
Welcome to this issue of ISSCO's [Distribution Chat]. ISSCO has been busy in Q1, and continues to maintain a 98% fill rate. Our #1 focus remains on customer service and continual improvement. Our company has several things happening this summer, including a volunteering visit to Kansas City's Harvesters in July and a company-wide blood drive in June. Be sure to follow ISSCO on Twitter & LinkedIn with the latest happenings. We hope you find the content insightful, and please let me know how my team can help yours!
Another generation of ISSCO employees took part in the National Bring Your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Sales team member, David Rogers, brought his daughter to ISSCO, allowing her to shadow the various departments and learn more about the fastener distribution world. It's a great way to spend a Thursday and to gain knowledge on what it takes to work hard!
Today isn't just like any other day... it's a day to honor and thank our professional administrators for all they do day in and day out for the team at ISSCO. Thank you, Peggy and Jeanie!

Since 1974, ISSCO has helped hundreds of companies with their fastener needs. A large portion of our customers have continued trusting and relying on us for 20+ years. Our customers truly depend on us for our reliability, shaped in part by our broad understanding and expertise of the industry. We work with broad industries and niche markets, providing specialized services and quality products. We’re devoted to creating custom solutions in order to dependably provide for our customers.
In 2013, ISSCO purchased BTM Manufacturing as the custom manufacturing arm of ISSCO. Having a niche manufacturing business such as BTM Manufacturing allows ISSCO to further its daily goal to be your full-service distributor. We work closely with BTM Manufacturing to manufacture bolts, rods and studs to your specified standard. If you’re in need of special parts, our relationship with BTM Manufacturing allows customers to purchase and ship both custom and standard parts on one purchase order, reducing customer costs. This partnership includes the manufacturing of non-ferrous products for those that need a superior corrosion-resistant product. We also have a wide-range of production equipment making our manufacturing proficiency the best in our industry.
ISSCO customers are speaking out... hear from one Kansas City customer who outlined her reasons why they do business with ISSCO.
Our Vendor Managed Inventory solutions are designed with you in mind. Our goal is to work together to streamline your manufacturing processes. With our VMI services, together we’ll determine an agreed-upon amount of inventory to be stocked on location and at ISSCO. We are committed to ensuring our inventories are reflective of our customer’s historical annual usage. We even offer a Consignment VMI option, which means you pay for the product only after it has been used.
By eliminating the burden of purchasing fasteners on a daily basis and relying on ISSCO for your inventories, you in turn save money cutting less purchase orders, having routine stock-outs or shutdowns. You now have time to concentrate on greater, more progressive projects for your company.
ISSCO, INC. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeremy Baldwin to Director of Purchasing. Jeremy started in ISSCO’s warehouse in 1997. He gained experience in everything from filling orders to shipping and receiving. Nine years ago, Jeremy moved into purchasing and has continued to grow in this position with the guidance of ISSCO’s President Jake Davis, to now being named the Director of Purchasing.

For those in the transit and hauling industry, like heavy truck and trailer repairs or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), it is critical to use fasteners that have been designed to precise specifications. Not only does ISSCO assist with these rigorous demands, but our full range of services have also allowed us to present our customers with an entirely new degree of quality and performance.
Some of the issues with fastener production and quality can be eliminated by using the design expertise of fastener manufacturers. However, not all fastener manufacturers are created equal, so it is important to do your research and choose a manufacturer who not only has the expertise and capacity to meet strict specifications, but also can incorporate design features that encourage efficiency on assembly time and cost, all while improving the quality and streamlining the process. ISSCO has a proven track record of providing support, solutions, and quality products to our customers for the past 43 years and counting.
