Davis Family – Fastener Minute or Two…

In February, ISSCO's team collected donations for a Kansas City, KS elementary school. ISSCO's employee, Jeanie Schwagerman, has a daughter who works at Grant Elementary. The need for partnering with this school was evident, so ISSCO's team kicked it into gear to collect donations. Our donations will go a long way in serving the Grant Elementary students and their families and helping reduce chronic absenteeism and other barriers for the families. While dropping off the donations on March 10th, ISSCO President, Jake Davis, was presented with a special banner. The students all hand-signed a thank you poster. On Saturday, May 14th, around 40 volunteers joined our Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed building event held at our Lee's Summit location. The event was co-hosted by ISSCO, BTM, and Twin Lakes Insurance Agency in Lee's Summit. Beginning the day with a coffee and breakfast food truck from our famous Nut & Bolt Blend roaster, Eleos Coffee, the group of volunteers began to work on building the 70 beds. Right at the three-hour mark, we wrapped up the last bed and loaded up each one. The next stop... the homes of the children around Kansas City in dire need of a safe and comfortable bed. Thank you doesn't begin to describe the appreciation and gratitude of those who volunteered their time and/or made a donation. We truly appreciate each of you. 

ISSCO, INC. employees are committed to giving back to the Kansas City community each year. 

Each month the team at ISSCO, INC. selects a charity/organization from the local Kansas City area to present the jeans day donations to. August's recipient was Kansas City's Eleos Coffee.  “I have had the pleasure of partnering with Eleos Coffee for over two years now as they have been roasting our special blend of coffee that we share with customers.  In what began solely as a business/partnership transaction has turned into a friendship, based on Eleos' vision of making it more than about a passion for coffee.  Eleos Coffee truly sets out to make a difference and brings value to their local community along each step by providing not only a quality product, but also with acts of compassion and by sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.  It was an honor for our team to select Eleos as the recipient for a couple of months for our “Jeans Friday and support Eleos Coffee” said ISSCO, INC. President, Jake Davis.
