Help us Build Beds for Kansas City Children
Bolts, Volts and Quotes Bed Build - 5.4.24
BTM Manufacturing, ISSCO, INC, Twin Lakes Insurance Agency, Wachter, and Rotary Club of Western Johnson County are partnering to help end child bedlessness in Kansas City. Our goal is to collect enough donations for a 120 bed build specifically benefiting the MO-Kansas City SE Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We can't do this without YOU! The cost of this project is $30,000. These funds will provide the necessary lumber and hardware to build and assemble the beds as well as provide the mattresses, pillows and bedding to make them complete. You can help one of two ways... or both!
On Saturday, December 9th, a group of ISSCO team members and our bed building partner, Twin Lakes Insurance, traveled around the Kansas CIty area with the Sleep inHeavenly Peace crew to deliver 60 beds to children in need. In June, ISSCO hosted a bed build and raised enough donations to build 100 beds. Then on Saturday, our team was able to see the entire process come to fruition as we delivered the beds and bedding. We are extremely grateful for the donation of fasteners provided by LindFast Solutions Group, Stelfast, Inc., OJ SIMPSON, Don Carr, and David G. With our upcoming Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build on June 10th, these parts will go a long way in keeping kids off the floor in our local community. Last Saturday, 12/10/22, several ISSCO employees, along with Sleep in Heavenly Peace community volunteers, delivered beds to 45 kiddos in the Kansas City area. Check out these happy children!
On Saturday, May 14th, around 40 volunteers joined our Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed building event held at our Lee's Summit location. The event was co-hosted by ISSCO, BTM, and Twin Lakes Insurance Agency in Lee's Summit. Beginning the day with a coffee and breakfast food truck from our famous Nut & Bolt Blend roaster, Eleos Coffee, the group of volunteers began to work on building the 70 beds. Right at the three-hour mark, we wrapped up the last bed and loaded up each one. The next stop... the homes of the children around Kansas City in dire need of a safe and comfortable bed. Thank you doesn't begin to describe the appreciation and gratitude of those who volunteered their time and/or made a donation. We truly appreciate each of you.

Do you have a few hours on Saturday, 5/14, to give back to children in our community? We are co-hosting a #BedBuilding event for children in the KC area in need. This is our second bed build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace and if you haven't heard of it, take a minute to learn more about the mission here: https://www.shpbeds.org. We are two and a half weeks away and are raising the donation bar! We originally wanted to raise $10,000 for the ISSCO, BTM, and Twin Lakes Insurance Agency build on May 14th. However, we have exceeded that amount from our incredible customers, vendors, friends, and family. We are raising the donation amount to $15,000! How incredible is that idea that we have such wonderful support, we are able to raise more money for children around the KC area in need of a bed.

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Too many boys and girls go without a bed or even a pillow to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and their health. We are trying to make a small difference in the lives of these children.
